Supporting Dads

A Special Focus

Fatherhood

Is a journey filled with joy, but also challenges that are often unspoken. Whether you’re a new dad, a dad-to-be, or you’ve been a father for years, it’s common to feel overwhelmed, stressed, or unsure of yourself. Societal pressures, the challenges of balancing work and family, and the emotional toll of fatherhood can lead to feelings of isolation or anxiety.

At JPL Counselling, I have a special interest in supporting dads with their mental health. Fatherhood isn’t just about raising children; it’s about understanding how the experience impacts your identity, relationships, and emotional wellbeing.

Together, we can explore:

  • The transition to fatherhood
  • Managing stress and anxiety
  • Balancing work and family life
  • Dealing with feelings of inadequacy or insecurity
  • Coping with loss, whether through miscarriage, infant loss, or separation from your children

You don’t have to go through these challenges alone. My counselling practice is a safe space for dads to share their thoughts, feelings, and concerns without judgment.

Flexible and Accessible Counselling Options:

I understand that life is busy and that finding the time for therapy can be difficult. That’s why I offer both face-to-face sessions in Chorlton, Manchester and online sessions, allowing you to access support in a way that fits into your schedule. Whether you’re local or prefer the convenience of online counselling, the choice is yours.

Free 15-Minute Consultation:

If you’re unsure whether counselling is right for you, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your needs, answer any questions you might have, and explore how therapy can help you. This initial conversation is a great way to determine if we’re a good fit and if person-centred counselling aligns with your goals.

Reduced Rates for Those on Low Income:

At JPL Counselling, I believe that mental health support should be accessible to everyone, regardless of financial circumstances. That’s why I offer reduced rates for individuals on a low income. Life is hard enough without financial stress getting in the way of seeking the support you deserve.

Make Life a Little Easier:

Life’s challenges can often feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face them alone. Through person-centred counselling, I can help you gain clarity, understand yourself better, and navigate your emotions with compassion and care. Whether you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, or simply want to explore your inner world, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Why not take that first step and see how counselling can make life a little easier?
